STAGE 4 Duty Calls...Being of Service

Stage 4 is the final stage of the empowerment process and covers the second 90 days. All 90+ day residents can continue to reinforce the new recovery tools (i.e., behaviors, attitudes, and beliefs) by mentoring the newcomers and modeling to them appropriate sober living and may become a house manager. Residents continue to participate in all of the activities set forth for the first 90 days and, if needed, focus on reconciling relationships with family members and loved ones. Specifically, the first 90 days focuses on individual coping/recovery tools and the second 90 days cultivates interpersonal skills – mostly by being of service to others.

All residents who have reached this level of recovery following this rigid process have accomplished a lot. As we embark on what we have just learned and apply it in our life we will see how our experience can benefit others. We will have been restored to sanity and we will know peace. CONGRATULATIONS!

All residents GET TO carry the message. When thehand of AA reaches out “I am responsible”.

All residents GET TO lead by example, using the power of example, we show up as an example of the power.

All residents GET TO be responsible. Your curfew is of your own making, now. So be responsible.

All residents GET TO continue to grow through this process of recovery, called the 12 Steps, so long as you continue to change and practice these principles in every moment in your life.

All residents GET TO recreate their lives. They GET TO have a new happiness and
a new joy for living.

All residents GET TO have choice back. We have found, if you choose to make recovery your number one priority than all other choices in life will be much easier to make!

The promises are beginning to show up at this point, we have a new lease on life, with a new meaning.
IT WORKS, IT REALLY DOES!
